RandstadRail, The Hague

RandstadRail is the new lightrail link between the city centres of Rotterdam, The Hague and Zoetermeer. A 400-metre viaduct was built with a station halfway in the Beatrixkwartier office area in the centre of The Hague. For the striking “fishnet stocking structure” of this viaduct, Staco supplied 850 m2 of gratings, type RR 3 40, mesh size 33x66 with lowered edge.  These gratings were placed between the rails and are used as working platforms.

RandstadRail line 3 has linked The Hague Central Station and Loosduinen since February 2007. In May 2007, RandstadRail line 4 was taken into operation between The Hague Central Station and De Uithof.
